Hi beautiful humans!
I’m Thomas Harper.
After childhood experiences that set me up for failure, therapy was a lifesaver for me—but it didn’t always work as well as it could have.
I struggled hard with executive function—everything from homework and dishes to calling my health insurance company or job hunting. In therapy, we would talk about feelings, but my therapists never had much to say about how to actually take action on the tasks I needed to complete to move my life forward.
I would have given anything to understand why I couldn’t follow through with the simplest daily tasks.
It took me a long time to find real solutions. I’ve learned how to hold my very imperfect self accountable—lovingly—to build towards the things I believe in and care about. After graduating in the bottom third of my high school class, I finished my master’s degree with a 4.0 GPA. My passions are finally reflected in daily action.
I believe the world needs what you have to offer. I want to make this journey faster and easier and less painful for you. You can read more here about how I approach therapy, or read more about me on Divergent Path Wellness or my profile on Psychology Today. I’m so glad you’re here!
